At Avloni Academy of Music, we offer an exceptional violin program for students of all ages and skill levels, starting at 4 years old. Our program emphasizes individualized instruction with one-on-one lessons, tailored to meet each student's specific needs and goals. We offer flexible lesson lengths of 30, 45, or 60 minutes to accommodate students' schedules.

We utilize a range of textbooks and resources, including Essential Elements for Violin, Suzuki Violin School, and other leading publications, to support students at different stages of their musical journey, from beginner to intermediate. These textbooks provide a structured curriculum that allows students to progress and enhance their skills efficiently. Our personalized instruction, combined with these renowned educational materials, ensure that students receive the highest quality musical education at Avloni Academy of Music.

 

Beginner

Featuring a ½ hour lesson each week including proper violin technique, music theory, and developing basic repertoire.

  1. Cultivate music interest & joy of playing violin.

  2. Leaning basic notes, rhythm, and dynamics.

  3. Being able to play simple songs such as Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Mary Had a Little Lamb, Ode to Joy, etc.

Intermediate

For those who have learned violin for a couple of years.

  1. Developing comprehensive technique.

  2. Introducing ear training, and playing strategies.

  3. Complex music theory.

  4. Being able to play scales and arpeggios, pieces by Vivaldi, Mozart, Brahms, etc.

  5. Music theory test, ABRSM (The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) exam may be involved.

Advanced

Exploring different approaches to support students as an artist.

  1. .Continuing to develop ear training and listening skills.

  2. Advanced techniques including complex fingerings and bowing patterns.

  3. Improvisation and exploring various styles of music.

  4. Expanding repertoire to include challenging pieces from different periods (Baroque, Classic, Romantic, 20th Century).

  5. Enhancing sight-reading and music theory skills through regular assessments.
